Why did the voters of the 2nd district send a man with mental health issues back to Washington??

The voters in the 2nd congressional district just sent a man with a mental disease back to Washington.

I hope they know that he won’t be in Washington anytime soon.

Jesse Jackson Jr has a bipolar disorder.  This is what is usually said about a person who is bipolar:

At a higher level, individuals may behave erratically and impulsively, often making poor decisions due to unrealistic ideas about the future, and may have great difficulty with sleep. At the highest level, individuals can show psychotic behavior, including violence. Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes, or symptoms, or a mixed state in which features of both mania and depression are present at the same time. These events are usually separated by periods of "normal" mood; but, in some individuals, depression and mania may rapidly alternate, which is known as rapid cycling. Severe manic episodes can sometimes lead to such psychotic symptoms as delusions and hallucinations.

I would not want someone like this being a public servant. This is nuts(no pun intended).

I grew up in the 2nd congressional district. I still have friends and family in that district. I think that the people in my birthplace district deserve better than this. They deserve a congressman who is of sound body and mind not someone who is trying to figure things out.

An absentee congressman used an absentee ballot to vote. People should feel some kind of way about that.

It is definitely ironic.

If Congressman Jackson really cares about  his constituents, he would step down, take care of his health, and let someone else be the public servant that the people deserve.

During my high school graduation, Jesse Jr was our speaker. I am glad I did not listen to anything he said. He is clearly taking the voters in the 2nd district for a ride.

Why would anyone vote for a mentally ill person??

“Hey! It’s either Jesse or the white guy” is what was probably going through the minds of most African-American voters in the 2nd district. African-American politicians play the race game just as well as any other elected official. These people cannot complain about this stuff and then turn around and use it to their advantage.

The blind will continue to lead the blind I guess.
