I almost threw up when I looked at this campaign ad.
Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez ran as an independent voice and a reformer.
Due to the political climate at the time, the voters ate it up and voted her in.
It was a nice story being the first Latina to hold that position. But as soon as she was sworn in, she not been shy about being a typical machine, do as you’re are told Democrat.
Alvarez is a wolf in sheep’s clothing she ran as a public servant when she is just another politician.
Seven years ago, David Koschman, a Rush St. bar patron died after he was punched in the face by Richard 'RJ' Vanecko, a nephew of former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley. Vanecko was not arrested. Most likely because of who is uncle is. Koschman’s mother asked for a special prosecutor to look over the events that led to her son’s death.
Cook County State’s attorney Anita Alvarez believes that there is not enough evidence to warrant an investigation.
That is the problem right there. Why not look into it and see?
According to yesterday’s Chicago Sun-Times, the judge who is supposed decide whether a special prosecutor investigates the Cook County state’s attorney’s office’s handling of the case involving Daley’s nephew has contributed $1,450 to the re-election campaign of State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez. If that is not the very definition of corruption I don’t know what is.
Let’s see if Alvarez responds to this. She probably won’t because she gets her marching orders from the people who call the shots in this city.
Until the hand comes out of her back she is just another puppet for “Machine” politics.
