Four little letters have the power to change and convict the hardest heart and wildest behavior: WWJD? What would Jesus do? Bashing on social media isn't cool
Recently I received a text from a friend directing my attention to a post made by one of our mutual “friends” on Facebook. I had no clue what my friend was talking about as I don’t really follow this other person’s newfeed or posts. So, I casually go to look at this person’s post, only... Read more »

From brokenness and bitterness to forgiveness—the best advice I ever received
My life almost thirty years ago now today almost seems unreal. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that the woman I am now was the young, naive girl I was then. When I think of my childhood of happy moments playing in my backyard laying in the grass watching the clouds pass by, I... Read more »

Well, I knew my open letter to Willie Wilson might ruffle some feathers, but I never thought I’d end up being called an idiot or a racist! An Open Letter to Chicago mayoral candidate Willie Wilson--PLEASE STOP NOW!
I want to start this letter to you Dr. Wilson, by saying that I write to you in love. I come in peace.  But after watching another one of your commercials, I realized, somebody has got to sit down and reach out to you and tell you the truth, because sir, you make me glad... Read more »

I am a wife and mother blessed to have six daughters who fill my home with love and laughter. My passion is writing and teaching, but most especially inspiring people to live healthy lives in my faith-filled fitness classes. My dream is to have my own faith and fitness TV show where people from all the world collectively join together on our "temple" building project of enjoying optimal health. I am a certified group fitness instructor by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and earned graduate degrees in Writing from DePaul University, in addition to a degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from the California University of Pennsylvania. The Salvation Army Kroc Center is my church home where I not only teach Adult Sunday school classes, but I also sing on my church's Praise Team alongside my daughters, under the direction of my husband who is our leader. I have seen and experienced the hand of God work and move in my life, and consider it an honor and blessing to be saved to serve.
