This week River North Dance Chicago presents its Fall Engagement at Harris Theater. The show includes a company premiere from Daniel Ezralow, SUPER STRAIGHT is coming down, which they call a “hypnotic urban drama” that is “fiercely physical.”
We’ll see a number of repertoire pieces as well as Nine Person Precision Ball Passing, which RNDC performed at Chicago Dancing Festival this year—basically a fun human rubik’s cube. They will also perform Al Sur Del Sur, a suite of sexy tangos which were presented earlier this year during the company’s Valentine’s Weekend Engagement. Don’t take a bathroom break during Evolution of a Dream—it is out of this world, set to a revamped “Sweet Dreams.”
The company will also revive Hanna Brictson’s solo from Train—fantastic—and Simply Miles, Simply Us, Frank Chaves’ tribute to Miles Davis. It’s going to be a jam-packed show.
RNDC’s Fall Engagement will be at Harris Theater this Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5, at 8 p.m. Get your tickets here!
