The Joffrey Ballet wrapped up the tremendously fun Don Quixote last week and now they’re jet setting to the Big Apple.

This weekend Joffrey will take one of my favorite Edward Liang pieces from last spring to New York City for Fall for Dance. Joffrey debuted Liang’s Woven Dreams during the company’s Rising Stars program last May, and it was pure genius. An exploratory piece that connected reality and dreams, the dancers weaving in and out of woven fabric hanging above the stage…This one should please the New York crowd.

The Joffrey will perform alongside Mark Morris Dance Company, Trisha Brown Dance Company, and Lil Buck. The amazing part? Tickets are only $10! We might need to petition for Fall for Dance to come to Chi…Just saying.
