DanceBridge call for choreographers!

One of my favorite things about Chicago is the way the city supports artists. This town is a haven for creativity and innovation, and DanceBridge, a program from the city's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, is no different.

Looking for some Marley? DanceBridge is offering free 12-week rehearsal space at the Dance Studio of the Chicago Cultural Center to professional choreographers or dance companies who will develop a new and engaging work. Two or three artists/companies are selected for each 12-week session and there are three sessions scheduled for 2012. A performance opportunity follows each session for artists to share their work with an audience. Applications are only being accepted until next Tuesday, November 1, so submit now! And don't be afraid to push the envelope--they are looking for proposals that push the boundaries of the dance world and challenge the audience.

Apply here! And good luck...
