Chicago Dancing Festival officially kicked off last night and continues through Saturday night. The lineup is HUGE (the Joffrey, Mark Morris, Lar Lubovitch) which also means Thursday and Friday shows are sold out (Saturday is an open show, so get there early). But never fear! There's always a stand-by policy. See below for the stand-by policies at each venue:
Thursday's Stand-by Policy at Harris Theater: To obtain a stand-by voucher, visit the Harris Theater Box Office at 6pm on the night of the performance. Stand-by vouchers will be issued while supplies last. Voucher holders must be in line at the designated locations 30 minutes prior to curtain. Stand-by voucher holders may be granted a seat should any reserved ticket holders not be present at the time of seating. (Courtesy Harris Theater web site).
Friday's Waitlist Procedure at the Museum of Contemporary Art: Box office will begin a waitlist one hour before the program begins. At that time, numbers are given out to patrons on a first-come, first-served basis, one number per patron per ticket. Box office staff will begin to call waitlist numbers 15 minutes before the program begins. Patrons must be present to take a number. As staff cannot predict when or if tickets will become available, it is important for those on the waitlist to remain within hearing distance. If a number is called and no one responds, box office staff will dismiss the number called and call the next number. Thank you for your cooperation and interest in this event. (Courtesy MCA web site)
