Latino Fashion Week

My fave time of the year has just arrived...it is LATINO FASHION WEEK!! This week long celebration kicks off tomorrow October 1st with the Red Carpet Opening Night. So what is this Latino Fashion Week? It is the only Fashion Week and  in the United States created to support the talent of local, national and international Latino designers!! So here is a listing of this week's events (super giddy excited)!

Tuesday Oct 1st: Red Carpet Opening Night

VIP Reception starts at 6pm and the Runway show starts at 7:30pm. Celebrate the 7th Year Anniversary Latino Fashion Week with a fab red carpet media reception benefitting A Safe Haven and a glamorous runway show featuring designers such as LB Glam, Maria Cruz and more.

Wednesday Oct 2nd: (Day) Sophisticates Luncheon (Night) Macy's Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

The luncheon registration starts at 11:30am and the show is from 12:30-1:30pm and is featuring AKIRA and Kelvin Giovannie. At Night, join Macy's and host Nick Verreos (star of Project Runway) for their salute to Thalia!! The event starts at 5:30pm at Macy's on State on the 7th floor.

Thursday Oct 3rd: (Day) Love your Curves Luncheon (Night) EVOLVE 2013 Fashion Show

The Day event starts at 11:30am and you'll be joining full-figured fashions included Chic Boutique by Jessica Blair and others on celebrating plus-sized fashions. The Night event includes the International Academy of Design and Technology (Chicago) students showcasing their portfolio work and clothing in their fashion show!!! Doors open at 7:30pm.

Friday Oct 4th: Life's Journey, Thru Sports & Fashion

The VIP reception this night starts at 6:30pm and you'll get to see a runway show featuring some Latino designers from around the world such as Claudia Arce from Argentina and celebrity designer Roberto Rodriguez and Maria Rosario Mendoza from Mexico. Celebrities in attendance that night include Angelica Atondo from Univision and George Pajon Jr from the Black Eyed Peas

Saturday Oct 5th: (Day) Teen World (Night) The Journey: Jetsetters Have Landed

The Day event starts at 11am is all about promoting a healthy lifestyle and improving self esteem for teenagers with motivational speakers such as Jessica Guzman (model) and Don Benjamin (America's Next Top Model). Afterwards enjoy a fashion show!! The fab Night event which is the closing event is super extravagant!! The VIP reception starts at 7pm and is emceed by Natalie Martinez from NBC. Enjoy fashions from Damaris Rubio from the Dominican Republic, Pineda Covalin from Mexico and more.

All events except for the Macy's one will be at Block37 (108 N State St, 3rd Floor).
