Spin to Break the Cycle Event Review

On Saturday, March 8th I was fortunate enough to attend the inaugural Spin to Break the Cycle event to raise money for World Sport Chicago. As a member of the media I didn't have to fundraise but after attending I'm pretty sure I'll want to next year! Why? Because the energy this group espouses and their goals of ending the cycle of youth violence in Chicago are enough to get anyone amped up.

Plus, they did a great job with perks this year, including the fact that Fitness Formula Clubs donated the spin bikes to the event and, as such, they were available for purchase for a donation of $150! Considering these bikes can retail for over $200 this is a pretty good deal. Alas, I don't need a spin bike but by 11:00 AM they'd already sold 25 so it was definitely a popular option.

But, really, this event was about getting your sweat on for a good cause. And here's how it went down.
