Why am I still driving a car and getting my own beer from the fridge? Seriously, what happened to the 80's when robots were on the rise? I thought I would need Old Glory insurance by now...what a disappointment.
Instead, I still have to do everything manually. Take exercising and eating for example. Allegedly, there's no solution for this yet. I just hope the scientists are working on this because this going to the gym stuff is getting ridiculous. And don't get me started on the microwave, which is a huge pain. Three and a half minutes for a Hungry Man Swiss Steak dinner? Is this a joke? Please fix this. And last I checked I'm still driving a car with four wheels, which is not aligned with the spaceship we were promised 20 years ago.
So far, the first decade of the 21st century has been kind of a bust. I'm a little embarrassed that I fell for the hype of the 90's. As I write, I'm typing in some HTML code in my browser to show special things like bold and italics. Bold and italics. Special? And who in their right mind thought that typing "h, t, t, p, colon, forward slash, forward slash, w, w, w, dot was acceptable?
Anyway, if you're a programmer and/or rocket scientist please step up your game. Don't let us fall victim to the "decade of the tablet PC".
