Champagne Cocktails for New Year's Eve

First of all I want to mention, if you are a vegan check out Barnivore for the ultimate guide for vegan (dairy-free) wine and beer. Champagne is generally dairy and gluten free unless cross contaminated with beer. I don't buy Champagne often but when I do it usually comes from Trader Joe's. Here are a few recipes to try out this New Year's Eve.

Here's a toast to you my wonderful Eclectic Eating readers!

3/4 oz. Raspberry liqueur
3/4 oz. Blue Curacao
Pour liquors into flute, fill with champagne

Hemingway (this name cracks me up)
3/4 oz. Pernod
Pour Pernod into flute, fill with champagne

Holiday Champagne
1 sugar cube
1/2 oz Cointreau
1 oz. Absolute Mandarin vodka
Fill with champagne
Build in champagne flute
Garnish with an orange slice

Korbel Royal
5 oz. Korbel Champagne
1 oz. Korbel brandy
2 splashes Chambord
Slowly stir brandy and Chambord into champagne in flute

One last tip, keep some coconut water on hand just in case you wake up with a hangover. Coconut water is the most hydrating beverage you can consume. Also, some extra B12 or a B Complex wouldn't hurt. Alcohol consumption makes it harder for the body to absorb B vitamins.
