I noticed Colorganics Hemp Lip Tints at Whole Foods a few months back. I admit I'm not a perfect Saint when it comes to wearing 100% organic lip color 24/7 but I really like these. I've read that the average woman eats about 6 lbs of lipstick in her lifetime. Ewww! They have beautiful colors that also stay on a long time. I don't like overly matte lip colors for summer so these give the perfect amount of opacity. You can actually see your lips through the color. These tints are the lipstick equivalent to a comfy pair of jeans.
Colorganics Hemp Lip Tints moisturize your lips with organic castor oil and hemp seed oil. They come in eight varying shades of brown, pink, wine and red. My personal favorite is Amber, a nice wearable brown that you can wear in its true brown state or lighter when mixed with other colors.
On another note, I have to share this article from Jezebel: For Chrissakes, There is Nothing Wrong With You: A Dating Manifesto. I was lamenting to a friend of mine about a man I liked who is dating the last woman in the world I would want any of my dude friends to date. UGGGH! Of course, this brought up a lot of questions such as: Is the type of woman a man dates really a reflection of himself? Why her? Am I too thin? Not feminine enough? Is my hair too curly? I am either not enough or too much of something. At least that's what I thought until this article that reminded me of my own truth. I love what writer Lindy West has to say on the oh-so-tender topic of modern dating:
We have to quit defining ourselves solely in relation to dudes.
If men really only wanted to squirt their penises inside of silent supermodels, then regular people would be extinct.
Any man who is a person wants to be with a woman who is a person.
Giving up on other people's expectations isn't settling—it's demanding what you f**king deserve.
