Did you see the Fiats in the Chicago River yesterday?

No, you weren't seeing things. Fiat was trying to turn some heads ... and raise brand awareness this weekend by putting their entire lineup in the water around Chicago this weekend.

And, no, they weren't real cars. They were souped up "jet skis," and they were out and about from 11 a.m to about 1.30 p.m., trolling the Chicago River and Lake Michigan near Oak Street and North Avenue beaches.

Did you see them? I'd be willing to post any video or photos (with credit back to you, of course) that you might have captured. Tweet them to @jillciminillo or post them to my Drive, She Said Facebook page wall.

In case you missed it, here's some raw video from ABC Chicago:

A couple of my Facebook fans did share photos they snapped, so I wanted to update this post and add them ...

  • You mean that the commercials with Fiats jumping into the Mediterranean and landing on U.S. shores were fake?
