During our first bout of really nice weather last week, I had the chance to drive the 2013 Mazda MX-5 Miata. Talk about perfect timing. The tester was a Club model that was equipped with a 167-horsepower, 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. That's a lot of fun packed into a small package. I'm a particular fan of the easy-to-use power hard top, which can be operated one-handed. Release the latch then press a button. Easy as pie.
Easy enough, in fact, for a 6-second Vine:
One random thing of note: If you're driving the manual, the car can't be in gear for the top to go up or down. Another bit of randomness: The cup holder in the center is completely unusable if you're driving the manual. Luckily, Mazda put a small cup holder in the door, which is large enough to hold a water bottle.
