If you read my blog regularly, you'll know I wasn't too much of a fan of the 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO. In case you missed it, check out my Lancer vs. Mazdaspeed3 review. But if you don't want to click through, the basic gist is: Petite drivers, stout drivers or tall drivers need not apply. This is not a one-size-fits-all car, though the Recaro seats look cool, they are made for a very specific body type. Not to mention the fact that they weren't height adjustible. Which, for me, caused a lot of blind spots. A lot of blind spots.
The other issue, cargo capacity is quite stingy and the opening to the trunk is very narrow. So, no large boxes or wide bags.
In terms of performance and handling, the EVO is awesome. It corners well and the 291-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine has your belly doing flip flops during hard accelerations. But, if you aren't comfortable and can't see, it's kind of a moot point.
Base price: $34,695
