Today's Rave: 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe interior

One thing I'll say for Hyundai: They get their interiors right. From fit and finish to design to comfort (thank you, lumbar support), they get it right. The all-new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is no exception. Granted, I did have the 2.0 Sport model with all the whistles and bells, but for a smooth-riding SUV that doesn't top $36K, there are definite kudos involved here. The Santa Fe has a base price of $24,700, and that's for the 5-passenger Sport model with the base 2.4-liter engine. The tester came equipped with the 2.0-liter turbo engine and added both leather and tech packages, topping out at $35,905. My favorite feature was the info screen that tracks your fuel economy over time. Usually you only see this in hybrids. And, in fact, during my test period, I thought the Santa Fe got some hybrid-like economy. On the highway, I was averaging around 30 mpg ... when the EPA estimates 24 mpg for the AWD model. Of course, I was actually going the speed limit and there was no traffic. But I thought that was still impressive. One of the slides below captures my commute to Schaumburg. Overall, I liked the new Santa Fe, but I loved the interior. See for yourself ...
