Whadahyawannaknow? 2012 Hyundai Veloster

Per usual, when I swapped into the 2012 Hyundai Veloster, I asked my Tweeps: Any questions? Two of my followers came back with: What's the view out the rear like? I don't think it's that bad--certainly not as bad as the new Land Rover Evoque, and probably about on par with the Toyota Prius. The rear hatch has a nice tall window, but it is, unfortunately, bisected by a horizontal bar. While annoying, I didn't feel that bar was terribly obstructive. But, rather than take my word for it ... here are a few photos that show you what I mean. @TheXSivDon and @sandbarmark: This is for you.

A lot better than I would have thought! Thanks for this, Jill!

I get the question about what you can see through the rear window! Those pieces of glass have been getting smaller and smaller - some of that decrease goes productively into increased mileage, but for some of those design moves, you just wonder whether we car buyers are being set up for those rear-view parking cameras, or video entertainment for our children in the back seat - both expensive options.
Here is my plea on behalf of the children who are getting less and less air and light on the back seat http://bit.ly/wf2lQd (including my less-than-pleased reaction to the Evoque).
