Green City Farmers' Market and Lincoln Park Zoo Nature Boardwalk

With coffee in hand from CityGrounds Coffee Bar, Kyle agreed to come along to Green City Farmers' Market. I'm so excited that it's back in session because there are so many great smells, lots of my canine pals, and the farmers all seem to love having four-legged visitors. Kyle constantly raves about the smoothies from Seedling and the crepes from the Green City tent, and he seems SUPER excited that River Valley Kitchens is selling their Five Cheese Garlic spread again this year. Today he enjoyed a honey pecan bun from Crumb and he actually talked to the friendly folks at Mint Creek Farm about their animal organs as a yummy treat option for me. He seemed to like them so much that I'm pretty sure he's going to subscribe to their CSA. Although there are fewer vendors on Wednesday than Saturday, I highly recommend visiting on a Wednesday if you're able because it's less crowded so you get to ask the farmers more questions without feeling rude for holding up a line. It's also a lot easier for a big guy like me to navigate everything with a smaller crowd. Afterward, be sure to take a stroll on the dog-friendly nature boardwalk around the Lincoln Park Zoo's south pond. It's very relaxing and filled with lots of birds for entertainment.

Kyle found me at Anti-Cruelty Society when I was about five months old, and he was kind enough to let me move in with him and our cat, Dr. Seuss. Today I have a very rewarding and happy life, and I'm excited to share my perspective about the dog-friendly side of Chicago. But don't worry, I'll also let Kyle share his human perspective from time to time. When I'm not out exploring the dog-friendly side of Chicago for new blog material, you'll most likely find me taking a nap on the sofa, frolicking in Lincoln Park with Kyle, or shredding a tennis ball for no reason at all. As co-owner of Get Pet, I also have a very demanding social calendar. I do my best to equally divide my time between my canine and human friends.
