Jail Time For Faking Address?

Illinois is one of 8 states where parents can go to jail for faking a child's address in order to get a better education, according to this map from Al Jazeera America.  But has that happened anywhere near here? I don't know.  There was a much-publicized case in Ohio a few years ago.  More recently, a couple from PA agreed to pay a district $10,000 over a faked address for their daughter. Under pressure from parents, CT agreed to change its state code so that the charges would no longer be criminal (civil instead).  But I'm sure those suburban districts patrol their borders and follow some parents just like they do in other parts of the country.
