There's lots of debate about DFER, but most of what it does is pretty standard political stuff. No Republicans. No crazy stuff. For example, DFER issued its slate of candidates to support, and one of them is Brad Schneider for the 10th Congressional District (Democrats for Education Reform). The announcement lists Deerfield-based Schneider as "a moderate, pragmatic Dem, who represents one of the country’s best opportunities to pick off an incumbent Republican." He's pro Race to the Top, pro standards. Etc. Conveniently, Schneider and incumbent Dold debated recently, and Progress IL was there (Schneider, Dold Square Off In 10th District Debate).
