Congratulations should go out to the 2009-2010 dismissed administration, staff, and all other employees from Deneen Elementary School ( except those already privatized).

In June of 2010 the Chicago Public Schools dismissed the administration, staff, and all other employees at Deneen Elementary School ( except those already privatized). It was decided by C. P. S. to do a complete C.P.S. "turn around" of Deneen Elementary School due to low administrative performance and student test scores.

In November of 2010 these dedicated people received their T. A. P. monetary award checks for the 2009-2010 school year. Monetary award checks ranged from $1,400 for classroom cluster teachers to $200 dollars for teacher assistants.

KUDOS! To an outstanding staff who continued to persevere even after losing their battle against C.P.S. to stop the "turn around " of their school. It seems that they had already taken the necessary steps and had began their own "turn around" just like they said they did at Deneen's hearings.
