Slain Simeon student a 'kid you would wish for' Sun Times

Chicago police are asking for help to find the person who fatally shot Simeon High School senior Corey McClaurin on Saturday.

Neighbors
and friends of a slain high school senior passed out fliers today in
his South Side neighborhood offering a $5,000 reward for information
leading to the arrest and conviction of his killer.

District rushes to put anti-violence plan in place Tribune

The district is still hammering out the details with a group
providing the community-based advocates who will act as part counselor,
part role model and part truant officer.
