Catalyst has some breaking news about a BPI effort to take Blago to court over education spending issues (here). Apparently the Gov. has been slow in naming replacements to EFAB, which sets the minimum funding levels for Illinois schools. Why BPI wants Blago to name replacements and get EFAB up and running again doesn't make a ton of sense to me, given that his previous appointees haven't done a stellar job of raising funding levels. Ask me, they should wait until he's gone and then get a new governor to make new appointments. By then, the budget may have been done, of course.
