When Non-Educators Talk About Education

There are times when pundits and others who don't really know that much about education can provide a really helpful reality check or ask incredibly helpful questions about education.  Those of us who do this every day need to be reminded of how it seems from the outside.  But then there are other times where these same folks can't resist jumping in with a comment or suggestion that just shows how little they know.  The Governor's education plan is bringing some of those folks out of the woodwork, as in this post on ILLNOIZE that seems to tout the merit pay component in particularly gee, whiz terms:  Big, bold plan to spend $6 billion on education has some cutting-edge parts.
