We're Not Number 1

An
Associated Press analysis of education levels in America's largest
cities lists Seattle as the best-educated city in 2004 with just over
half the adults having bachelor's degrees (Seattle best educated city, AP analysis shows).

An attached chart shows that 30 percent of Chicagoans have bachelor's degrees,
slightly higher than the average 27 percent.  But only 77 percent of
us have high school degrees, lower than the average of 84
percent (College graduate percentages in 70 cities).
