Vendor Payment Problems On The Rise?

From a reader:  "There are so many vendors trying to get paid from CPS Department of Purchasing that it is absolutely ridiculous.

I hear they are 4 four months behind in Purchasing and Accounts Payable, so vendors are bugging school clerks to pay for the merchandise that they sent to them, and the clerks have to tell them that Purchasing pays the actual bills.

This is so sad.  They bought a $14 billion dollar Oracle system to help them ease payments to vendors and it’s not working.

You must speak to this.

The only vendors that are being paid are the ones that are strategically sourced, i.e. hand picked by CPS central office big wigs (Office Depot, CDW, etc.)."
