Twenty New Autonomous Schools -- What Do You Think?

0207catfinal_lrgYou may not care about autonomous schools, but I do, and the AMPS program is growing like kudzu.  It nclude about 20 new schools this year compared to last year -- for a total of 106.

Download the spreadsheet (here) and you'll see lots of familiar names, a mix of elementary and high schools, as well as the 20 or so new participants.  Remember that there are all sorts of different autonomies that schools can opt for.

Any of the schools jump out at you?   Anyone with any direct experience with the AMPS program? Do yo wish your school was AMPS, have you tried and been rejected, does it make any real difference?
