 Governor boasts of schools spending Tribune
Gov. Rod Blagojevich boasted of record
spending increases for public schools Monday, while critics said the
extra money doesn't go far enough, leaving districts struggling and
long-standing school finance problems unresolved.

dismissal of a teacher who they say made slurs against Mexicans during
a seventh-grade art class.
