Two cousins plan to make a federal case out of a teacher's decision to
punish their entire seventh-grade class by denying them a daily
bathroom break, an attorney said Wednesday.

  • But on the other hand, if a factory shift manager can't legally keep his workers from taking bathroom breaks, it doesn't seem appropriate for a teacher to deny it. Also, eliminating the break for this whole class because some children were acting up seems to be a form of collective punishment, which I'm not sure is appropriate.
