Farragut chief focus of grade-fix inquiry Tribune
The
longtime principal of Farragut High School is under investigation for
allegedly rigging grades for his star soccer players over the past five
years and pressuring teachers to keep quiet, Chicago school officials
confirmed Wednesday.

Meeks wants state probe of low-quality teachers Sun Times
Continuing efforts to draw attention to the issue of low-quality
teachers working disproportionately in low-income schools, state Sen.
James Meeks and fellow members of the Legislative Black Caucus on
Wednesday called on the state's chief legal officer to declare whether
the disparity violates civil rights law.
