The Performance Pay Plan Next Door

Those interested in how CPS's new performance pay plan might fare will be interested in checking out EdWeek's latest article on how it's going up North (Performance System Slow to Catch On in Minnesota).  The article's general thrust is negative, but hidden down low in the piece is this news:  "Besides the 34 districts and 12 charter schools
participating already, more than 130 have signed letters of intent
indicating they will apply for the program, said state Commissioner of
Education Alice Seagren. Also, the districts that have already adopted
the plan, she said, represent nearly one-fourth of the states 850,000
students."
