Rahm Emmanuel isn't the only Chicagoan who's heading to DC in the near future to join the Obama administration. A handful of local education folks might go, too. (Besides Arne, who I predict will not go.)
Some possibilities -- this is completely speculative -- include folks from younger folks from organizations like TFA, New Leaders, et al. Boston transplant Tim Knowles, currently head of whatever they now call the education empire at UofC, might be tempted to try his hand in DC. Someone from the Consortium? Josh Edelman, another out of towner? John Ayers, who recently set up shop on his own after a stint with NACSA? I'm just guessing. But it's a fun game.
