A last minute transfer from another South Side high school, "Mr. K" has to move from class to class each period, teaching freshman algebra and trying to stick to a new, web-based curriculum. Dealing with classroom disorder seems like it's a big challenge for the 4th year teacher -- though it's unclear if it's his classroom management or his situation that is at fault. The school has a giant bulge of freshman and sophomores, many of whom are at risk of dropping out. Three Robeson students have already been killed -- two of them algebra students in Mr. K's class.
