Apparently, Summer Bridge attendance doesn't matter for kids who pass the SAT10 and have passing classroom grades.
From CPS: "In the best interests of our students and due to inaccuracies
in attendance reporting for summer bridge, we are not retaining
students who have more than three unexcused absences, but meet the
following promotion criteria: passing classroom grades and SAT10 test
scores. If you find other inaccuracies, please e-mail the student
So, in theory, a kid could ditch all summer and take the test (when
does that happen) and cross his or her fingers. Not much fun if you're
a Summer Bridge teacher or admin, though.
