I ran into Jennifer Presley, pictured, at a teacher quality conference in Washington DC earlier this week. She was the founding director of the Illinois Education Research Council at Southern Illinois. The center has done several projects with Joyce and Spencer support on early childhood and teacher quality, as well as with the Education Trust in Washington DC. Presley's recent work has focused on examining teacher retention data (here). She said she's moved to the DC area but is still consulting for the IERC while they look for a new director. Congrats, condolences.
