Apparently the only people surprised by Tom Brady's appointment as interim CEO of the Philadelphia schools were two members of the School Reform Commission, who were supposedly not told in advance about Brady's selection.

The Commission also announced yesterday that it will hire a search firm at the end of June and begin a national search for a new CEO.
