The hottest -- and so far entirely unreported -- story about CPS that I can imagine, short of Arne and Mike cross-dressing on the weekends, would be news about patronage hires and job protection at the Board or in the schools.
So far, at least, no one's touched it, though -- either because (a) it's not there, or (b) it's such a part of the system that no one even sees it anymore.
So let me just ask it straight out: Is there patronage hiring at the Board, and how does it work? Is it at the central office, or in the schools, or both? Who is the person to talk to? How do you know someone's got a job that way?
