CHICAGO – Senator Martin Sandoval and a number of legislative leaders
will host a hearing at Sawyer Elementary School, 5248 S. Sawyer Avenue,
along with a panel of education experts and concerned parents to address
the Crises of Overcrowded Schools. Senator Sandoval and members of the
Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus have drafted new legislation (SB
1845) to establish a new statewide school construction relief fund,
alleviating overcrowded conditions at schools throughout the state of
Illinois.
