Former Daily Southtown education reporter Linda Lutton will be the new education reporter for WBEZ starting in September (see clips here). Sutton is returning to Chicago after a stint living in Mexico with her family. During that time, she reported and produced a piece or two for the station about immigration patterns between Mexico and Chicago. She has also written for In These Times and the Chicago Reader (see here). She replaces Jay Field, who resigned suddenly earlier this year. She's pictured here winning an ward for her investigation of the Sauk Village superintendent's misuse of funds in 2006.
