I wonder what the record is for serving on the most LSCs at a time. (Not that there's anything wrong with sharing your expertise in more than one place.) Let's say you had 4 kids, each going to different schools, plus the neighborhood you lived in, and you were a teacher. That's six, theoretically. I've never heard of that happening, though you do hear about people serving on two LSCs at a time, and I'm sure there've been others serving on three. How common is that?
Speaking of LSCs, a few times I've been at schools where they've bought these wireless headsets and had someone do simultaneous translation (like at the United Nations) instead of stopping and starting. They've got to be expensive, and of course the quality of the translation is paramount, but it's so much better than the usual. If there's a joke, everyone gets it at the same time. But I don't know if it's common or not.
