Louder Than A Bomb 2007

Map2finals The WBEZ weekly email reminded me that Louder Than A Bomb 2007 is underway, culminating in next weekend's finals:

"Come out to see the final round of the 7th Annual Chicago Teen Poetry Festival: "Louder Than A Bomb." The festival starts at 8 p.m. at the Illinois Institute of Technology's Hermann Hall Auditorium. Tickets are available at Young Chicago Authors...Using friendly competition to gather the best and brightest young writers (age 13-19) from the Chicago area, "Louder Than A Bomb" is a safe space that emphasizes community building, education, and youth empowerment.

By carrying on the rich tradition of oral storytelling and the spoken word, "Louder Than A Bomb" engages more than 350 youth participants representing more than 40 schools and community centers to share stories, break stereotypes, and speak the truth, challenging themselves and their audience."

Check it out under "LTAB": (Young Chicago Authors). Here's my writeup of last year's event, which was amazing.
