Lottery Letters Delayed For 59 Families

Computer glitch: Chicago magnet school lottery letters delayed Chicago Tribune

Chicago Public Schools

officials said Monday that a computer glitch has led to a delay in

notification letters to about 59 elementary school students who

registered in the district's magnet-school lottery.

Am I the only one who feels like this year's magnet selection process has been particularly wacky? Or am I just conflating the magnet process with the equally SNAFU-prone selective enrollment process?

Share your magnet thoughts and experiences here -- especially if you're one of the 59 or work in the magnet office on Clark Street.
