IL Test Data Delayed -- Again, Again

According to this ISBE notice, the release date for last year's test data is being delayed again -- for an unspecified time.  Will kids take the ISATs this year before the old test results come back?  It's looking likely.

2006 State
Assessment EMBARGO date extended

 

Springfield, Ill. The embargo date for all
2006 State Assessment elementary, high school, and School, District and
State Report Cards results has been extended to a time after March 6, 2007.

 

The Illinois State Board of Education expected to have
high school assessment results along with School, District and State
Report Cards posted this week.

 

Effective today, all data and report cards are now under
an unspecified embargo date. The new embargo date will be determined once all
data elementary, high school, and School, District and State Report
Cards are made available to the media.

 

For every day after today that the data are not posted,
the embargo date will be extended one more day beyond March 6, 2007. 

 

An alert will be sent out when the new embargo date is
determined and high school data and School, District and State Report Cards is available
to media.

 

By
accessing the data, media outlets and all members of the media agree to embargo
publication or broadcast (including Internet) of all materials related to the
2006 School Report Cards until the yet to be determined embargo date.

Illinois State Board of Education has announced the following upcoming meetings
for February 20 22,
2007, in Springfield.

Staff presentations and detailed Board discussion typically take place during

plenary session.  The Ad Hoc Rules Committee of the Whole meeting will
begin at the conclusion of the previous committee meeting. The Governmental
Relations Committee will begin immediately following the House Appropriations
Elementary & Secondary Education hearing.
