Better late than never, the new Catalyst is now available online, including the aforementioned student profiles plus a great cover showing the mayor atop a pile of past initiatives. (Remember when probation was new?)
The magazine goes the extra distance and gets a Q&A with the Mayor to go along with it all. By and large, the Mayor doesn't offer much by way of specifics, but there are a couple of interesting moments including one where the Mayor calls for more full-day kindergarten when at the same time Board officials are talking about going back to half-days in order to save money and maximize the educational impact.
Still not online is the "report card" showing how much concrete progress has been made -- or not -- since the Mayor took over.
