So M. Stewart wins overwhelmingly, largely it seems due to rank and file antipathy for the healthy care and probationary teachers dismissal provisions in the Lynch contract. Now Catalyst wonders what happens with the next contract, particularly with the short day and school year that has long characterized CPS and is now one of the shortest in the nation among big city districts (Longer school day a key issue in contract talks).
