Daily Southtown Wins National Writing Award

Beating out the Trib, the Sun-Times, and everyone else in the nation, education stars Linda Lutton and Kati Phillips of the Daily Southtown won the Education Writers Association grand prize award for their work exposing corruption and embezzlement in Sauk Village near Chicago.  The series, which had already won first prize for small-market investigative reporting, is here:  "Reverse Robin Hood"
