Crain's Takes On Ren10 Fundraising

Following up on news first published in Catalyst among other places, Crain's takes on the lackluster fundraising effort supporting Ren10 -- less than a month after the newly-renamed Renaissance Schools Fund held an event touting its accomplishments -- and the looming reality that even if they get there, $50 million probably won't be enough:

"Renaissance
2010, Mayor Richard M. Daley's ambitious plan to create 100 new
schools, is struggling to meet its fund-raising goals...And even if Renaissance
2010 does raise $50 million, directors and executives acknowledge, that
won't be enough to accomplish the program's ultimate goal of replacing
70 failing schools with 100 new ones."  (Mayor Daley's school plan falls behind)
