A frightening glimpse of a future Biden administration

Reporter: "“Don’t the voters deserve to know where you stand on [packing the Supreme Court]?"

Joe Biden: "No, they don't deserve [to know]...."

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden had already given voters the middle finger by his non-answer to the question of whether he supports--as do so many of his party's colleagues--turning the court over to the control of progressives by adding additional seats to it, a political maneuver called "packing." It would make the court a handmaiden of the progressive agenda.

In essence, he said that voters would have to elect him president and then they would find out what he would do about court packing.

That answer was stupefying and frightening enough, but then he doubled down in an interview (see the video above) by declaring that what he thinks is not something voters deserve to know on this issue. As if voters should have no say in such a fundamental change in our system of checks and  balances.

Is this how Biden will run his administration, as a giant "screw you" to the public? Or is this just another case of Biden following his marching orders from progressive political advisors that he must not answer the question, just like his running mate, Kamala Harris?

Or was this just another stumble by a Biden whose mind is a  bit, well, slow?

Even  the numbest people on Biden's team must have realized what a gigantic political blunder it was to straight out refuse to answer, because Biden's next response was different, but not so much. NPR reports:

Biden Says He's 'Not A Fan' Of Expanding The Supreme Court

After weeks of deflecting on whether he would seek to increase the number of justices on the Supreme Court if elected president, Democratic nominee Joe Biden on Monday went the furthest he's gone on the issue as of late, saying he's "not a fan."

"I've already spoken: I'm not a fan of court packing, but I don't want to get off on that whole issue. I want to keep focused," the former vice president told WKRC-TV after a campaign event in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Not a fan? What the hell does that mean? Is it a promise that you can take to the bank. The question, "Will he or won't he" still looms large. In other words, he has trashed the high ideal of transparent and open government.

Weasel: Intransitive verb, : to use weasel words : EQUIVOCATE. Noun: : a sneaky, untrustworthy, or insincere person.

Biden justifies his non-answer by saying that he wants not play the Republican"game" and the court packing issue is just a "distraction." The gullible among Biden's supporters might buy that, but seeing through this joke of an excuse takes no special insight.

Just as risible was Sen.  Tim Kaine (D. Vt.) who said, well, Biden doesn't need to answer the question because it's none of  "his [the president's] business." It's Congess' business, Kaine, explained, so obviously ignoring the indisputable, constitutional fact that any court expansion enacted by Congress would require the president's signature.

Such are the lengths that progressive who run the Biden campaign will go to stymie the people's voice and to alter more than two centuries of successful governance under the U.S. Constitution.

This episode brings to mind the hollow slogan of the progressive Washington Post, "Democracy Dies in Darkness”. You bet it does.

  • “When you have the Senate, when you have the votes, you can sort of do what you want as long as you have it.”

  • Does anyone out there remember Trump being asked if he would "pack the court?"

The fact is, that by Moscow Mitch stealing a nomination from Barack Obama EIGHT MONTHS before the 2016 election and now rushing one through AFTER VOTING HAS ALREADY BEGUN, the Republicans are IN FACT packing the court.

If Barrett is seated on the Court, she may be faced with some major issues between now and inauguration day. How would an incoming president know how to respond to the court packing issue until it's seen how fair this new jurist might rule.

Maybe someone should have asked Trump how he would handle a pandemic. That question might've saved the lives of at least 100,000 Americans.

  • In reply to Bob Abrams:

    Elections have consequences. You lost.

  • In reply to Richard Davis:

If you're implying that winning an election is an invitation to ignore the legal system, destroy norms and trample the Constitution, then you might want to move to China.

While we're on the subject, why is it that pundits inside the Fox bubble, ie, Dennis Byrne, John Kass, etc are just nonstop negative ads, but no one actually defends the indefensible; Donald Trump?

No one is willing to stand up and say, "No, he is not a lowlife, scumbag piece of crap."

If you find the prospect of a Biden administration frightening, you should find another four years of this chaos TERRIFYING.

  • In reply to Bob Abrams:

The legal system allows a president to pick a nominee for the Supreme Court A president is a president for four years, not three point something.

As far as your thinking that there are "Fox Hounds" out there that cannot think for themselves and supposedly echo that network, and who will not call something out when they see it is specious at best. Dennis has made it clear he is not Trump fan.

Many of us asked your same question regarding the administration of Obama and his many crimes and abuses, which includes Biden and his son, Hunter. . I do not recall you "tirading" about them. In fact, you sounded then -- and now-- as if you have not taken a gulp of air from outside the MSNBC, CNN, Vox bubble. You may think you are some kind of pundit for objectivity, but that's just it -- you are simply thinking it.

About your consideration that I move to China (I'm really surprised you didn't suggest Mother Russia, but I digress), don't you just sound so much like the old and loathed "America, love it or leave it" crowd?

As for the chaos that we see daily it is not caused by Tea Party grannies but by the radical left that has usurped the Democrat Party, and its KKK descendants, Antifa and the admitted Marxist BLM, which are not denounced by Biden or Pelosi or anyone within the Democrat Party.

If Biden wins I and object to something that he is doing that is unlawful you will say to me, "Elections matter. You lost." And your faux high-mindedness will be gone because, as always with progressives, the ends justify the means.

  • In reply to Richard Davis:

Hey Richard, if that is your name, I've been looking for your comments regarding a president being elected for 4 years at a time and how that might have affected an Obama Supreme Court nomination in 2016. It's obvious that you fall in that Machiavellian school of politics, but I'm curious if you really feel this way or if you'll just say whatever stupid thing you can think of at the time to justify just kinda doing whatever your side wants.

Maybe you could point me to something that shows your outrage at Obama not having his nomination considered for the Court?

  • In reply to Richard Davis:

Take a deep breath, Mr. Davis. By the way, can you be more specific about "the crimes and abuses" of the Obama Administration? Or maybe you were thinking of the Trump Administration, and your emotions and partisanship distorted your thinking.

  • In reply to Richard Davis:

Then you'll be taking the Democratic tsunami in November in stride. So glad.

  • In reply to Aquinas wired:

IF the Blue Swamp overflows in November I will take it in stride. As I did before with Obama. I live my life and do not make it dependant on politicians. I will not be breaking windows, assaulting people with Biden stickers on their Priuses, nor leaving for China as the tirader wishes I would. Nor will I write a blog each day about how horrible Biden is, because that will be self-evident. With any luck and the grace of God, the Republic will endure.

  • In reply to Richard Davis:

"With any luck and the grace of God, the Republic will endure."

That's why I'm voting for a man of grace and character, Joe Biden.
If God could vote, He or She would too.

  • In reply to Bob Abrams:

"Might have" saved a 100,000 lives? Really? Says who? You? What are your sources to back up your claim? Any data lying around your place that you'd like to share with us? Here's my take on the Chinese Plague: Stop pointing fingers at Trump and others and save some -if not all - of your anger and frustration for those directly responsible: The lying Chinese Communist Government. My criticism of all this nonsense especially applies to the mainstream media whose many members can't spell "critical thinking" let alone engage in it. Memo to the nation's "newsrooms": If you can't abide by your own code of ethics as outlined by the Society of Professional Journalists, then please go out and get a real job, e.g. stocking shelves at Walmart.

  • In reply to davegorak:

Hey, you really almost seem credible. I like the way you point out that it is a Chinese virus. Really gets everyone angry. And, nice way to ask for data. Really makes you almost seem like you're just some reasonable adult.

  • In reply to davegorak:

And what is wrong or degrading about stocking shelves at Walmart?
