What Pelosi left out of the freaky solemn march of impeachment articles to the Senate

Clearly something was missing in that goofy, somber march of Democrats carrying the impeachment articles to the Senate.

In a risible attempt to lend dignity and gravity to a hocked-up stage-show, the cordon of long-faced Democrats filed through the roped-off  Capitol Rotunda instead created a lasting and laughable video of self-conscious performers fully aware of how ridiculous they appear. Forever and ever.

All that was missing was music. Pomp and circumstance or a trumpet fanfare appropriate for such a weighty moment.

So, as a public service, I suggest below some  suitable tunes:

Music also was missing from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's celebratory and joyous signing of the  impeachment articles, as she handed out souvenir pens to grinning victors. Try this::

  • You missed the one set to the Benny Hill Show theme which was the most appropriate.....

  • In reply to mancow:

    Impeachments are forever.

  • The most appropriate theme music would have been the Battle Hymn of the Republic.

  • In reply to jnorto:

    Or Beethoven's Fifth.

  • All good suggestions. It was so medieval that it creeped me out.

  • Whether this means the trial will actually have witnesses — particularly the four desired by Democrats — remains to be seen, but Pelosi called this shift a win Sunday, and did the same when speaking about former National Security Adviser John Bolton’s surprise kroger feedback
