Donald Trump lies about the national presidential election polls

I heard Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump say today that he knows that it's a "fact" that national presidential election polls show that he is the only candidate who can beat  Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton.

No one, it seems, asked him to tell us which polls he's talking about. But the fact is, he gets defeated in all but one recent poll, by either Clinton or Bernie Sanders.

der donaldReal Clear Politics keeps track of all the polls. Its average of the polls today shows Clinton beating Trump by 6.3 percentage points. The latest poll by NBC News/Wall St. Journal shows Clinton leading by 13 percentage points. The average shows that even socialist Sanders beats Trump by 10 percentage points.

The polls also show that the conventional wisdom is correct: Other Republican candidates generally have a better chance of beating Clinton.

  • So, you're saying that Donald Trump lied. That is so troubling. Perhaps you can list a few things about which Trump didn't lie, didn't exaggerate or didn't make up out of whole cloth (you don't hear that phrase too much, anymore)

I would not trust anything the media says. A vote for Hillary is a vote for no change. Hillary if elected will continue to ship jobs overseas, continue to wipe out the middle class, continue to cater to the elites. Trump plans on doing the will of the people and the establishment does not want that. Don't believe the lies of the media.

Hmm, not many folks here. The few I've come across are just a bit "Off The Wall".

  • I also doubt most of what the popular media reports, but common sense indicates that the numbers in the quoted polls are reasonable. That said, I am not a fan of Hillary, but if her opponent is Trump, she will win in a landslide. If we completely ignore whether you are on the right or on the left, and I know that is very hard to do, Trump is the one candidate in my lifetime who has actually won presidential state primaries, but who is simply unfit for the office of president.
